Bedspread style
Bedspread: A bedspread style is usually one sided. We also have reversible bedspreads upon request, the pricing for reversible bedsprads would be the same as a duvet set. A bedspread style has a center panel (this would be the part that covers the top of the mattress and then the skirt attachement. The side panel is the skirt. To complete your order we will need the drop length, that is from the top of the mattress to the floor. All bedding is custom made at time of order. The skirt attachment can be a tailored pleated or gathered. We split the skirt at the foot corners on each side to accommodate a foot board bed rail. If you do not have a footboard, you will need to let us know, the split is then not required.
So no raw edges are exposed on the back side we line the back of the center panel. Other options is to line the back with a soft minky fabric rather than lining, this is extra. Another option is to design the center panel much like the duvet providing an opening for inserting a filler. Remember on a bedspread style the filler can only be the size of the center panel and will need to be cut to size. The opening on the bedspread style is always at the top. We can use custom buttons or ties to secure the opening. We will cut the filler/comfort to the size of the center panel for you and add snaps to hold the filler in place. The biggest difference between the duvet and bedspread is the skirt is attached to the bedspread center panel, and a duvet requires a separate skirt.
We have several styles of skirt attachment, a gathered single skirt, a gathered single skirt with a band or a ruffle at the bottom, or a double skirt. We can add trim or a ruffle to the top layer of the double skirt styles. Much like a duvet piping or trim can be added around the inside center panel edge, and piping, trim or a ruffle can be added to the outside edge of border where the skirt attachment joins. (minky backs and fillers are extra)
Any of our collections can be converted to a daybed.
